Engine ticking - 2 different types.

Hi everyone.

I have a constant ticking sound coming from the engine that is probably the valves or something, not too sure. Its not that loud but when you rev rev a little bit you can hear it get louder. Nothing you can hear while your driving.

However, I just started to get this other ticking sound that only shows up at random times. If I drive the truck around for awhile, I would say it happens after about 15 minutes. Its a much louder ticking than the normal engine tick from the valves or whatever that is. Maybe they are related? I dont know. It seems much louder, maybe even a bit slower than the other tick but its really annoying. If I go in neutral and rev it up a few times to a good rpm the sound dies. But it will return the next time I drive the truck.

I just bought the truck a month ago with 35k original miles so I dont know much about these yet. I got an oil change and service done. Also replaced the spark plugs, plug wires, cap & rotor, air filter. (I CANNOT EXPRESS HOW MUCH THESE SIMPLE ITEMS HELPED THIS TRUCK) Night and Day!

So if anyone can help me identify these 2 types of ticking (especially the 2nd, most annoying one) I would highly appreciate it!

Thanks in advance!

i agree...the first is most likely the stock injectors...thats completely normal. As with the second is it really a ticking? I know the brake booster valves go but I dont' think its a ticking sound (never heard it myself).
