Farmington Ut Typhoon

I went and test drove this ty again Here are the pics. Issues I see are door panels are hacked up and need body clips/fixing. It runs good, not great but good. It smells like it runs hot but temp gauge never got over the first hash just seemed like it ran lean, and the EGR valve looked like it had gotten hot. Shifted good. Has a trans cooler. Other than those things. it seem sound. both front fenders have been replaced and the whole truck has been repainted and could use a good cut/buff. 1st thing I would do is remove the chip.

Someone (maybe you?) posted a pic of this Ty the other day. I dont know about the red cladding... not my taste but its only paint I guess. It sounds like the rest is decent. Are you buying it?

I love the color scheme. guess we all have our preferences. I would definitely take into account the fact that it's close to you; probably won't see too many other sy/tys for sale in Utah. Shipping is expensive and you may not be able to go test drive a different one.

I would have tried to run it on Datamaster, that'll give you a better indication of how it runs than going by feel. Sometimes I have found with sytys that those that are running great feel like they're running simply o.k., and vice versa. Also going through the syty buyer's guide would be a good idea along with carfax with the limited information you haev posted it's impossible to give any substantial advice, if thats what you're looking for.

Not really looking for advice my Sy is enough of a headache for me now. I just thought that I'd post more pics up for others. The guy keeps wanting to send it to auction so id rather see it in a good home. I would have run datamaster on it but I dont have it :(

I'm trying to find someone who knows a thing or two about working on Typhoon's in the Los Angeles area. My Ty has been sitting for over a year due to deployment overseas and before running it around again I'd like to get it tuned up and cleaned up. Does anyone know of someone in the San Fernando Valley/Area that actually knows a thing or two about these cars?

If you can afford it, Mike at Race Proven Motors in western L.A. has a lot of experience with these trucks and he knows what he is doing. http://www.raceprovenmotors.com

This color combo would acutally be really neat, if the red was darker...like a plum or dark chocolate.
