I posted a while back that I bought decently built (back in the late 90's) Phoon and it has not run since 03... it had an accel 1st gen DFi in it...requires a dos computer to tune:tdown:... so its been sitting for years. Ordered a Holley Dominator set up for it yesterday and it here today! SO I guess its time to learn! Any advise form those of you who have done it will be greatly appreciated.

SO me and technology do not get along...bought a new laptop for data logging and tuning...bought the Holley set up...dropped the disk into the laptop... can't get through the installing of the software so I can read anything... now to try to get through to Holey for tech help... you know, printing instructions is not so hard...just give me a book. I did look through the list on the disc... no installation instructions labeled...seriously?

You need to make sure the requirements for the software is compatible with the operating system you have on the laptop. Example: if the software says it only works with Microsoft windows 7 than you need to have windows 7.

Also welcome back!!

You are exactly right! I bought a refurbished computer from a high end local company and one piece of software was not compatible with Holley's. Simple download fixed that. Now on to the instructions. Hope to actually start the instal next week. Gives me the weekend to read up.

Re: Finally doing something with mine...

Tried to read up on it this weekend, can't navigate the disc that came with it at all. Its only tuning... no instal instructions to be found...now to try to get someone at Holley to help see if I got a bad disc or what...so far.... not impressed at all with their "user friendly" set up....

So got ahold of Holley... the menu is is in the "help" tab on the disc... I guess that's great but wouldn't you think that there would be an install tab? I always assume that the help tab sends you to an online answer center or email... Guess I should think outside of my little mind.

Re: Finally doing something with mine...

So, I decided to get into one of Holley's training seminars on their EFI. I closed my shop last week and took both of my employees to Bowling Green to Holley's headquarters and went through tier one training. I would like to give a big shout out to Holley and their guys for really going above and beyond for us. Lots of info is presented, well wroth the trip and the cost was next to nothing. Now we are armed with enough info to get my phoon up and running again. I'll try to post up as we tear out the old and install the new.
