Just to ceep U folks updated.

First run:
Was a lithle covard at the start to low boost on, HUGE grip then tire broke loose and shaked the Sy like newer before :O let go and cruzed a 11.09
chassie felt stiff, and boost was never up to set value onlu 22 psi

Second run:
Better launch get better tracktion and a 60´on 1,5xx straight and nice but boost only 22 psi again?? set on 28-30 psi still a nice 9.3@245km

Third run:
Harder to reach set launch boost?? got a good 60`a new 1.5xx but still only 22psi boost w.t.F?? stil a good 9.2@ 246 km 201/ 5.90@ 200 km

Fourth run:
Check ignition and some tuning on WG managed to get 23 psi boost )&(¤%"!(#%)!&%# a realy slow boost buildup on start and another "good" 60`1.5xx 9.10@ 235 Km/t

Back to pit we found the fault the IC had burst wide open so end of racingthis weekend.
Not weld thru on the welds is proly the cause of burst AND alot of boost of course :D

Realy satisfyed with the test, the E85 works and the car goes straight and hooks well this is going to be a fast season so watch out

Update: the IC is fixed, so next race is Emaboda a striktly street (sanktioned without track prepp) race and we aiming to set a new record for AWD

Im holding the last record at 9.47

WOW a 9.2 with a blown out intercooler. That is going to be one insain run with it fixed Please keep us updated.

damn, the ic blew up on ya huh??
i think y it did that is because they didnt weld on the inside of it. i know a guy who had a Wilson Intake done, and the top of it blew off. so he sent it back to them and the braced it up and welded the inside.

just a suggetion for ya

Robert had a well known and with good reputation guy do this IC and the welds looked sweet and nice. but after the burst we saw the "bad news" not welded on bouth sides..

As I mentioned the IC is welded and reinforced (no time to redo the job yet) but we´ve a new welder promising do the job in the nearby future and to use thicker alu sheetmetall than the 2,5 mm as now..

Sure we ceep U updated and the aim IS high, Robert realy wants to put his Sy down in 8 sec level for good.

Maybe pressure test the intercooler next time?? That way it doesn't pop open again.

It was not only boost pressure and bad velds, in a race inviroment U have to reconect vibration and movements along with shake, violent go&stop, so a pressure test just gives strenght against the pressure or leakage free unit

When U raced the parts a couple of times U se the effects of fatigue and stress on parts, and Robert have realy tested of the parts on safe roads in lack of test&tune stripps around Sweden, so these units have at least 50 runs on them before this race..

i wouldn't necessarily blame the welder. This happens pretty often on very high horsepower stuff. If you look at some of the competition diesel stuff they strap the endtanks with 1/4" bar stock. I've personally seen several tear along the side of the weld.
