Flashing brake light while driving

Coming into work, my brake light starts flashing at me. I caught 8 and 9 blinks. 8 means fault in the ECM and 9 I believe is an open circuit. Hurray for me! Turned the truck off/on and it went away. So a call has been put into the dealer, anyone else ever have this?

have you checked your brake fluid? also check the parking brake switch for an intermittant short.

Brake fluid is fine, haven't check the brake switch though.

wiggle it around and see if you can get it to light up. or just disconnect it and see if the light still comes on

Yeah the brake switch shorted out, dealer replaced it
