For those with clear hose on IC lines.....

Has anyone using the clear hose to replace the metal IC lines ran into any problems with it from under hood temps? I don't think it's meant for automotive applications so I was wondering if it could stand up to the heat.

i wouldnt use it. i've seen it melt on a custom pcv setup we did on sombodys car. gets way too hot under there and just melts.

same opinoin.. that, or it will turn brown.. sure does look like poop under the hood even if its still clear.

Melted on my PCV as well when I tried to copy the GReddy catch can look.

The IC lines collect deposits on the side and make the hose hard to see thru over time.

If you wanted to do a small section away from the heat as a test section to see if the coolant was flowing or not, that would be ok.

I think that's what I'll do then. Thanks for the responses.
