Freeway Race with Z06

My girlfriend wanted me to drive the Sy for our dinner date. I hadn't driven it in a while and the weather was nice, so why not. I was driving the Sy on 270 (outer belt around Columbus) on the way to pick her up and I saw a C5 Z06 with Georgia license plates switiching between lanes. I pick up the pace to catch him.

As I'm driving beside him, I step into the gas for the Stealth turbo to spool and let off the gas and the Vette owner takes notice. He drops a gear and takes off. I could not follow suit because I was boxed in by two cars (4 lane freeway). Again, I catch back up to him, we slow to 70 and the Z06 takes off first, side by side on the freeway. I manage to put a car length on him from 70 to 115 or so. He catches back up, but this time he is right behind me. From 70 to 5,000 RPM's in overdrive, I put one car length on him again. He takes the next exit and waves, downshifts to get off on the exit. He had the o-shit looking face when he gave me the thumbs up. Probably the first time he had encounter with a little black pick up that will mess his world up.

My Sy was running only 15 lbs.

That's awesome. He musta been really surprised an old truck could keep up, let alone put a car on him on the freeway. He can now be considered educated in SyTy's .

My Sy has been tuned by Nolan (10SECTY). We (more like Nolan, I just push the gas pedal when he tells me) are in the process of tuning my build. The Stealth turbo spools nicely and delivers great top end even on 14 or 15 lbs. Honestly, I was surprised at the outcome on the freeway with the Z06. That same night, a mustang was ripping around a corner and generally trying to be a badass at the stoplight across from me. Too bad he did not know what lurked across the street from him. A Z06 for the main course with a little mustang as a dessert. That would have been sweet.

Now that is snowing here in Columbus OH, I will have to hold off until the snow and roads clear for me to take the Sy out again with 17 or 18 lbs. Can't wait for that.

Thanks for the support fellows.

<<< Can't waited to get mine bolted up over the winter. That turbo has CRAZY top end, something the stocker severly lacks...

The TC is a billet street/strip 9/11 by CK Performance. Below is the info about it. Scroll to the bottom of the page for the info about my TC.

As for the stall, it is 3300 or 3400. I would like to get a manual TC lockup switch for next season. If I remember correctly, PTE told me to use between a 3200 and 3500 stall for that turbo.

In normal driving or even racing the Stealth turbo spools about the same as the TE-44 I had. Pretty close anyway.
