Fuel cut/ rev limit???

Hey all

Been a while since I posted or even driven the good ol Typhoon. But she is out and loving life.

I have a question about the fuel cut / rev limit. I have a basically stock typhoon for those who don't know. the other day I took the typhoon on the highway and just for shit and giggles I just went all out on it. it didn't take to long before it felt like I hit fuel cut or rev limit... What is the factory setting? or is something wrong??

I think it was only around 100 mph or just a touch over.. it's not like the speedo was pinned or anything and I swear the RPM wasn't that high. I didn't try it again cause I didn't want to do any damage.

Any help would be great. She runs great great before and after that happened.. no smoke, blue anything, sounds and runs strong. New oil and fluids all seem fine... minus the heater core (looped it on itself cause I'm having to much fun to change it out now ... winter project.lol)

Thanks
Wilson

Sounds like it was hitting the rev limiter in third gear. Either your truck isn't shifting WOT 3-4 or you had the shifter in third.

I'm sure I had the truck in the right gear.. but maybe the linkage didn't kick it into OD.. I'll give her another try when the highway is clear. Thanks

Or overboost, which can then blow the motor up if not corrected.

Got a scan tool?
