Got me UNDER PRESSURE!!
I am attempting to swap around a few projects that will enable me to install a 4.3V6 into an S-10 or Sonoma. Right now the motor is carb'd with the giant "box-ram" intake. It is a nightmare for throttle repsonse and tip-in fueling. My plan is to go EFI. The questions I have are......
1. What EFI intake manifold choices are there to fit my Raised runner heads?
2. Are the computers different between syty's,TBI trucks and/or CPI trucks?
3.What software choices are there utilizing the exsisting wiring and PCM?( if I found a 4.3l S-10)
4.Would stand alone be the best choice or are there less expensive alternatives?
5. I also have a 2000 Astro Van motor and trans with the PCM(which is the same as an LS1 engine and should allow HPtuners) How hard is it to make work on the earlier 1989 4.3L and utilize that harness and PCM?
I have an LT1 six speed TransAm (1994) that I bought dirt cheap and was planning on sticking the entire running gear in my 66 Chevy pickup. A hotrod V6 S10 seems more appealing right now; But I bought an AKM Electronics OBD1 box for use with LT1Edit. I believe that when I bought it....SyTy's were also listed as a choice for this box. What software could this work with and would it be the recommended tuning choice? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
