fuse for air pump

I could swear my Sy fuse panel by my left driver's foot, has an empty fuse that says "ELC". Maybe I was imagining things though..

 well on my way home from my friends house tonight after taking the damn walbro pump out for a 3rd time(damn floater) I heard a pop a fuse well anyway after calling a tow truck my friend plays with the fuses and finds a few out or missing while tring to get the truck to start we hear this grubbling from the back drivers side next to the pump? :x more shit I don't know...damn....damn damn... anyway I disconect the wires next to the tire and it is gone....I read somwhere that it is a air pump or compeser for the shocks, I guess my question is, is that part I disconnected important or should I have a fuse in there and what does it do????

ELC = Electronic Leveling Compressor, or something.. Anyway it is just a pump that would auto level the rear of the Ty should it be loaded with something heavy. The stock air shocks were terrible at best so many have removed the air shocks and replaced them with conventional shocks. The ELC location on the fuse box housed the fuse, so its removal just was to disable the pump.
So, to answer your question you need to look to see what kind of shocks are on the truck. If they are air shocks, and you want to keep the auto leveling function then hook the wires back up and go. If they are not air shocks, hook the wires back up and remove the fuse from the ELC location in the fuse box.
