What brand gauges are recomended? I'm looking to install a new boost gauge and either a fuel pressure gauge or a fuel mixture. I was wondering which were better. Autometer, VDO(which I have now), Auto-gage, Nordskog, I'm leaning toward the Autometer Lunars or Cobalts. They look cool but wondering if they are accurate.

I'll probably be spending $1000.+ on a complete set of Autometers, and will probably be going w the AM Phantom guages. They seem to have all the guages I want in that series, so I won't have a hodgepodge of diff ones.
Where to put them all is the next Q. I'll have a 3 pod 2-5/8" setup on the pillar for the ones I think I need to see most. I'm guessing Mechanicals for H2O T and Boost/Vac and an electronic Fuel P guage for the pillar.

Are they electrical or mechanical? Also where are the available at and $$? So what the VDO's aren't so hot? I've heard to stay away from the digitals like the Nordskogs, right? I really like the cobalts but I think $200 for the boost gauge, to salty for me. Considering the Phantoms aaren't near as much. Hell get them and put a blue bulb in it. You probably have heard about the SPA gauges, but as a reminder, they are 2 gauges in one. I love mine, easy to see day or night, and they give some programmability, also.

I just installed the Auto Meter ultra light carbon fiber gauges. I went with the electrical FP, Boost, H20 Temp and Tranny Temp. I mounted the tranny temp below the dash where I can see it between the spokes of my steering wheel and the others are in the pillar pod. I hooked up the H20 temp sending unit at the front of the manifold (where the line comes out for the water going to cool the turbo). Home Depot makes a brass fitting for teeing off an ice maker line that fits in there. Screw the probe into the end end and run the T to the turbo. I used a straight (pipe) brass fitting for the T instead of a barbed end because it had a bigger ID and didn't restrict any flow to the turbo. For the FP get Whipple's connection for a FP tester. It makes the install easy.
