I've met Blake in person, and he knows ALOT about these damn transmissions. Very nice guy, and honest. I know when I get mine back its going to be done right. I went with the top of the line everything in mine. Its great to have Blake offering to rebuild these, you have no idea how much detail he goes into.... IMO you will NOT get the same rebuild anywhere else, period. I'm not just trying to help get him business, because I know he doesn't need the help. I'm am just glad he is doing them, because of his knowledge. I approached Blake via PM, and he said he could do the rebuild. At that point, myself and many others didn't know he did them. I was really glad to hear he is, because I know what he has done for this community in helping others and the research he continues to do.
This is NO sales pitch for Blake, this is a headsup to anyone that might not want to try and tackle the build themselves. He is putting together, IMO the best of the best in terms of all the parts that can be upgraded. You can wait for the video, and see for yourself.
As for anyone that may have started a rebuild with another shop, and is running into problems....happens all the time. But don't try and have Blake help you by talking with your builder, it doesn't work because they don't understand what he does. The only thing you can do is hope that the shop your dealing with finally gets it right for you, OR you tell them you want it back and your going elsewhere(IMO your best bet) Send the trans to Blake and have him go thru it, but do not expect to buy parts from him and then take them to your local builder and expect them to build it. We already went through
this and that mistake will not be made agian.
So sit back and wait for the video, because its going to be awesome. If anything, you will learn what things are extremely important to pay attention to while rebuilding a syty trans.
