Good question for syty archives

Hi,

While walking out of work I spied a Ty in the parking lot. Tracked down the owner and had a long chat w/ him. Here we go: Has a police lightbar on the roof along w/ a bunch of antenaes and sirens. Back windows have "Callaway Twin Turbo" on both sides. Truck is Green/Gray. Interior: "Callaway Twin Turbo" on the dash and seats. Police/Fire/ etc. radios. Engine: Stock, no twin turbos (ya, big surprise...).
Now, he says it was a "police test vehicle" by GMC/PAS/Callaway to see if a Ty could be used for police work. H/D alt. and 6 dry-cell batteries mounted on the frame. Back seat was removed to accom. 24 traffic cones.
Now, I know the Callaway is not true, but anyone ever here of a Police Ty?
BTW, it's here in Massachusetts. Any thoughts?

I've seen pics and know of one here in NJ. Just a regular Ty with police graphics. Officers told me it was a confiscation.

Cops in my town used to have an Aspen Blue/Grey Ty they confiscated from someone. Besides that, I dunno of any other police SyTy's.
