Headers

What or is there any advantages to using JBA headers vs. Edelbrock T.E.S. headers? The problem I'm having with JBA is their price:

500+ for chrome

If I go thru jegs, the T.E.S. is a more reasonable 279

Both are big name, both are legal... The JBA are shorties and I'll have to change my plug boots, the T.E.S. are not. I know both will give me gains, but can the JBA price justify themselves?

I'm sure there's about 10 more boards that would know. If they don't have flanges for a turbo mount I highly doubt many on this board would care.

Ive used the edelbrock TES deal on a 4.3 s truck. FYI, they rub everywhere on the frame, crappy welds (even I can weld better than they can), and I ended up hating them.

A bud used the v8 TES on his f body and liked em. They seem to fit better than the v6 stuff. I dunno but maybe its the fact they sell 10 kabillion f body systems than trucks so they dont care if they make the 4.3 systems right.

Oh, and edelbrock makes some of the God awful-est ugly valve covers/air cleaners you can buy.
