Here are all the details. 93 Typhoon. When I turn the key to start the ECMB fuse blows. I replaced the fuel pump with a Walboro, and Racetronix harness. I've added a RPM CAI kit. I've checked the harness over and over, nothing is rubbing. The RPM CAI is not arcing against the battery. I'm lost at this point and really need some help to get this truck right.

Upgrade the fuse to a 15 amp fuse. Thats what most people do. Apparently the walbro pump draws right at 10 amps.

Shouldn't need to go to a higher fuse if you've got the Racetronix Hotwire harness in there since it's only using the factory wire to trigger the relay which is drawing power for the pump straight from the alternator. Did you check the wiring in the dash that goes to the ECM? Make sure that harness doesn't have any wires frayed or pinched that are shorting out.

Are you sure the wiring is hook up correctly
because if not you are going to blow the fuses
do not just install a higher amp fuse just unplug
the fuel pump relay for a test if the fuse does not blow
you have found the problem !!!!

As mentioned above unplug EVERYTHING you've done since the fuse started blowing. You'll have to work backwards from there to find the short. Since it became a problem after you installed the Rx harness & Walbro pump it's a safe assumption that something is installed incorrectly.

Your post makes it sound like you installed the stuff and then your fuse started blowing. Clarity my friend, clarity.
So does the fuse blow when you go into the "IGN" position or the "CRANK" position? Just so we're clear... :lol:

Sorry for not clarifying. The fuse blows when I put it in the "IGN" Position. I'll check out the RX harness again this week and see if anything is wrong with it. When it first started blowing it would do it while I was driving and then it progressed to when I turned the key to "IGN".

Because the fuse blows instantly (now) that's going to make it much easier to find. As Dave mentioned you can unplug the Rx harness to see if the relay is the culprit. Aside form that you'll need to look at a schematic (sorry, don't have mine handy as I write this) and see exactly what the ECM B fuse it responsible for. I "think" the Ign Coil is also on that circuit. If the coil is shorted that will take out a fuse.
I'm sure Mr. P knows right off the top of his head what's on that circuit. I'll look into the schematic and post up later, if Dave hasn't beat me to it.

Alright, scratch the Ign coil idea, it's not on that circuit. ECM B powers Circuit #440 and is "Hot At All Times" meaning it's always powered up. The oil pressure switch, the fuel pump relay, the RWAL (anitlock) control module and the ECM are fed from the fuse.
Personally, I would unplug all of the above and then try a new fuse. If it still blows then it's likely in the wiring to one of those components. My guess is that's what you'll find.
