so i take the sy out last night for the first time in a while...maybe 8 months or so. All is well for about 15 minutes pulling up to a light all the gauges flicker on and off, radio and headlights do the same then the truck just dies on me and has NO JUICE whats so ever.
i have my battery relocated to the bed, has been there for about 2 years or so. i go back there and start to take off the neg terminal and my wrench hit the side of the box and a spark emitted.
i finally get both cables off safely, and for shits and giggles i bring the battery upfront to connect to the original leads just incase the power lead going to the rear shorted out somewhere.
sure enough as soon as i just touch the leads to the battery i have lights and ignition(key on). i try and crank it and just a solid click. i figure the battery is probably toasted but my main concern is if anything else could have went wrong. i just ordered a new pc680 to move the battery up front again but am a little scared i might have friend something important...maybe the ecu. are these trucks fused from that sort of thing?
What do you guys think?
