ok here we go i have no god damn clue i bought my truck a few months ago had lot of tunning needed.i replaced everything wires to magnacor conrad cap rotor msd box and coil atr pit bull chip which i duuno seems to overboost me. 3 inch single exhaust greddy type s bov.I STILL HAVE A GOD DAMN SKIP when im sitting and at like 20 to 30mph like real bad.I can see if i open the hood like sparks on my wires real fant how is this possible i hve the best shit made? Is wire routin in factory holders necessary? How bout grounds?I also am getting like 7knock retard which is it because i havent changed my fuel pump ad regulator yet?Even when i do will the computer fuel it with this chip to the higer boost levels and if not do i need wastegate or chip ?Please guys this igniton is really fuckng my truck oh also did the bike tube rick and the air goes in and goes out the throttle shaft any answers to this thnaks BRIAN SHOULD OF KEEP MY COBRA BERG

first off, put the stock chip back in if you are trying to troubleshoot. Read the "SyTy Readme" page on this site as most ignition and knock problems can be cured by doing the suggestions in the SyTyReadme. Obviously you have a scan tool since you said you have 7 degrees of knock retard so log some runs and post them here for someone to look at. HTH :)

Try the Taylor wires. I think BG said he didn't have good luck with those Magnecore wires, even though they're *supposedly* the best. A lot of people have problems with MSD ignition components on SyTy's, so try stock parts. Same with the chip, try stock.

Are you using the stock wastegate, or do you have an external? If you gutted or removed the catalytic converter, there's probably not enough backpressure for the stock setup to properly control boost levels.

Usually poor routing just leads to burnt wires on the downpipe. Perhaps those aren't really "the best shit made"... Twins could see arcing on the cheapo wires he bought locally too. If the spark's shorting out somewhere, there's no way it can be good for your ignition.

Any 2-bar chip (everything but the Ultimate) can't read over 15psi. The computer sees the exact same thing whether you're at 15psi or 25psi. It can't do anything in relation to boost over 15psi. If you get a 3-bar sensor (-15 to +30psi) and a chip calibrated for it, you can add fueling and timing and stuff above 15psi. A wastegate just controls the boost levels. The stock wastegate is pretty much too small for even the stock setup. It shouldn't really affect your ignition stuff though.

Also, buy the new fuel pump and regulator ASAP.
This was the single biggest improvement i made to my truck so far.
It was like night and day. (idle/aceleration/drivability/knock)

i guess i better put it in it is doing me no good in the center console did u ever have a stumble when at idle and then if u say get to a cruisning speed would it miss a litttl e once in a whil if so did the pump cure it thanks brian

These trucks idle all f(&&*d up. I've always noticed a weird uneven puff out the exhaust. I have a gutted cat, not sure if thats why.

It was loud as hell the other day, sounded like a damn oddfire.

Oh well, its always been there. The idle is good, around 700-800, but there has always been that intermittent puff of air, and its not rhythmic.

later,

Scott
