hey i got a code 43 when i did the code check

i got a code 43 it says ESC retard signal has been on for too long or the system has (ESC) unit failed a functional check. it says that the light comes on when the motor is cold then after i drive it around it goes away?? any ideas what i have to do , is this bad for the truck cause it runs fine, 93 garnett red 44k miles stock. please respond to see what i can do

actually, i found mine pretty easy to do...just need some rubber hands to get in there


although, i removed my hood and stood on top of my engine to do it...4 bolts, no big deal. Just remember, to use the correct torque... over torquing it will F it up... its 15ft/lbs if i remember correctly.
