How many Sy's / Ty's in Canada ? (best guess)

Guys, i'm really curious about how many are figured to be in Canada?

Is 10-25 Syclones

and say 25-75 Typoon's realistic? i really have no idea.

I'd say under 20 Sy's and under 50 Ty's. But I'm just basing that on speculation based on how many are known about and how many have been seen in 'for sale' ad's.

I'd say that is a pretty close guesstimate. I'm sure there are plenty of trucks out there with owners who aren't internet junkies or just chose to remain quiet and keep to themselves.

I've been trying to keep track of the ones that come up, but I've been slackin bigtime. I know of at least 23 Sy's and 28 Ty's. I've got names, vin #'s and locations for most.

If you get a chance, post the numbers by location (no names needed) to see where most of them are. There seem to be quite a few in Alberta.

yes, i am quite curious about the demographics as well, as most seem to be in alberta, or BC, with a few on Ontario. I'd really like to know about any in Ottawa area. I know of one fella, Pete Tessier who i think has one near Ottawa. Any one ever hear or speak to him?

can't be many on the east coast (martimes)

That depends in if you're going to hook up with any local SyTy'ers while you're here and/or if you're bringing your Ty with you :lol: When are you coming out?

I sure would like to bring my TY 1001 byt I'm just alowed to have 135 pounds in baggae on the plane :rotf: those stupid airlines.....

I read about the Canadian NATS in Edmonton. Would be sweet to attend that, eventhou as just a spectator.

Cool man. It's not very expensive to fly out to Edmonton from either Vancouver or Abbotsford (Abbotsford is about 1/2 hour from Vancouver) My wife will be doing just that on the Friday night since she cant get the time off earlier in the week which is when I'll be leaving to drive out there. Of course I'd have an extra seat in the truck on the way there, if you really want to come out, but my wife will be taking that seat on the way back.

Either way though, if you dont come out to Edmonton, I think a few of us BC SyTyers will be trying to get together a couple times during the summer.

What Airlines is there besides AirCanada doing Vancouver-Edmonton?
222CDN was the roundtrip with AirCanada

That's actually not bad. We're looking at 162CDN for a one-way for my wife. WestJet would be another option. Unfortunatly I dont there are many other choices unless you go charter (which tends to be rather pricey)

Also if you are interested in coming out, you may want to book that flight from where you're at. I just checked online and the cheapest AirCanada flight I found from Vancouver to Edmonton was just under $600 CND, the cheapest WestJet flight was $322 (round trip for both)

I'm looking at www.aircanada.ca

The 222CDN roundtrip are for the flight 06:45 and return 06:00 the WORST flight. Prices go up steaply after those times.

I know of at least one Ty in the maritimes, dude e-mailed me awhile back looking for advice on getting it imported etc. I'll see if I can dig up the e-mail.

I was at parts Source today. One of the guys said that he knows of two Ty's in Winnipeg. One is white, the guy paid 12k U.S. He said he heard of a green one also, one of those a friend of a friend story, the green one is suppose to be pushing 350-400 horse. I haven't seen either yet, but going to have to check out the cruise situation and get some pics and what #'s they are.
