Some of the Saleen are pretty rare, but Saleen is company that was factory backed that now is a tuner car. The guy I bought my Sy off of, had a 93 SA10 1 of 9. He was looking to buy a GNX. The MKIV Supra TT have some low prodcution numbers. The last 3 years were ~1000 unit with a total production number of 7000 (very similar to ZR1)

Not sure just how 'collectable' the tuner cars will ever be? Like Saleen, Rousch, Steeda, Lingenfelter, Hennessey, Calloway ect. I guess as long as there is someone who desires a certain car, it's collectable.

Well my dad had a 1969 427 Corvette Rodster w/ L-71 package with 435 H.P and there were only like 50 of his made(due to it being dust gold). That car is supposible worth $50k+. He sold it in 78 for $3800.00 and bought the kitchen table that in my kitchen now. this is what it looked like only gold

its sad though i just found the specs on performance and 0-60 was 5.5 wait till i tell him the syty's are just as fast in the 0-60 anyway. They ran badass 1/4 mile times though from what he said so it would probable caught up and passed once he got into 2nd or 3rd.
