I Need Alpine Part

I need an Alpine CRA-1656SP cd changer/radio controller for a 1968 Plymouth GTX street rod I am working on. They are discontinued in the USA but according to Alpine's web site they are still available in Europe. If anyone could locate one and would be willing to ship it I would make it worth your while by payment or parts. TIA.

Better late than never, Mark. LMAO.
I went to my box of stuff looking. I have a CHM-5652RF that I purchased 15 years ago to add a changer to the stock Delco in my Blazer. It's yours, if you need it Gary.

I doubt this is still on Gary's project list, but you never know......... Funny stuff!

Re: I Need Alpine Part

I am never in this part of the forum. :D

Like you say, better late than never. I wonder if Gary even remembers asking here!

I might PM him just in case. It would be great if I could send something in the opposite direction for once!

Re: I Need Alpine Part

Thanks for the offers but I settled this back in June. Long story, found one in Estonia, didn't work out, found one in Ireland, never received it, got money back from Visa. Finally got one from the far east via Hawaii. Problem solved.
It's a unique piece. It is a remote display with seperate brain with two stereo speaker level inputs (L+R)from a factory radio. Also has an Alpine AI-net input for i-Pod or cd changer. Has four RCA outputs to run a four channel amp. Display lets you choose source, or specific cd/song/track/whatever. Also controls bass/treble/balance/fader and has BBE sound field processor.
This went in a stock appearing 1968 Plymouth GTX convertible with Indy 440 and 6 speed. Display hidden in ashtray, factory AM/8-track in dash still works through this piece. Sounds great, still looks totally stock.

Glad you got it resolved. I found one but understand they must be rarer than rocking horse poo.
