I'm about 100 feet from home when a guy in a Ford Explorer backs into me and then rips my front bumper cover off, when pulling out of front end...

So now to get the ball rolling on MY insurance (because he had none and since it happened on private property, the cops won't issue him a ticket), I need to know if anyone out there has a orignal cover (new or as close to) for sale. I've already been to Paul's website and I might be forced to go that route. Now my passanger door rubs when opening.

I'll post pics later.

also, in your honest opinions, what would be a fair price for a SGT? clean, 95k, valve guide seals - cpi - cat - water pump - heater core - all replaced. This is for ins purposes.

Hey, I have 2 SoGT's and for what it's worth to ya... I'd say around $2500-$3500 for an average decent one. I have one of my SoGT's for sale right now. I am asking $3000, but $2500 cash would probably take it off my hands. I am getting ready to post it on Ebay to see what happens. When I bought the Aspen SoGT for under $4000, it was in good shape and about 95% original but needed some TLC.

I got a bumper with 2 holes in it. Not sure if you were looking at fixing one or wanted a new one, which would cost you around 1000 bones.

Well I would want to start with a new one since insurance would be picking up the tab. I'll have to see where it goes from there.

I have a non virgin Sy front bumper cover you can have. It's useable, just needs minor cleanup. Let me know if you are interested.

Cool, that just may happen.

Also forgot to mention that my hood won't open, the shield that protect the hood cable is impailed into my AC thingy (infront of the radiator)

Talk to my ins co. (Progressive) after they came out and entered my vin into the computers with mileage I'm told my SGT (stock) is valued at $5,100. They said my value should go up with the add ons.

After the rep had entered all the info for new parts, its was getting close to totaled...and that my friend's ain't gonna happen!

I already have the "G-M-C" grill letters - so there is $30-40 reduced.

anyone know how much the grills are from GM or LPR?

Not likely in the next 20 years or so.
As for the damaged one above, $5100 from the ins co sounded like a good number to me. Maybe you can find a complete truck for that with bad engine. Sometimes an ins co will allow you to keep your wrecked vehicle and still pay a considerable amount. I have seen values for the SoGT in that range before but all sales that I have come across are $4000 or less. Anyway, I can appreciate the "NOT GONNA HAPPEN" part of totaling it. I am having a hard time just parting with my Teal one that I have owned since new.
Good luck with the repairs and getting help with the ins co. It looks like you may have to foot some of the bill yourself.

I also have a slightly used Sy grill...... it has a minor ding in it that is difficult to find, but it's very serviceable. You can take that also (free) if you can use it.

Both pieces are from local X Syclone owners who gave me the pieces in case someone local needed them....... let me know if I can help.

I am buying a Sonoma GT that suffered light front end damadge at one time and needs a grill bumper, cover & support to be put back in shape.


I really want to put this truck back together with the correct cover. Will you consider selling it?

I beleive i can still get steel front bumber supports. As far as covers go. I have one OEM left and i won't be selling that anytime soon. I can talk with Paul about the fiberglass replacements. I will call him today.

I can also get the the small pieces of cladding that goes on the front fenders for the GT's.

shoot me an e-mail and i will try to help everyone out.

I won't be able to get back to anyone till the weekend as i do have a full time job.

You may be getting a request for one of those too, found out the one on the passanger side at the corner is ripped.

Also want to give thanks to Rodney and Al for the bumper cover and grill provided to me by way of Roland! Thanks again.

I should be getting my GT back this week (I hope)
