Keeping Cool

BLACK92TY

It's never enough
How are you guys keeping your engine bay cooler? Seems like a very elementary question but any tips would help. I seem to be creating lots of heat causing stress on things like wiring, modules and whatnot. Thanks

Re: Keeping Cool

by never driving it

make sure your fans, water pump, coolant levels, radiator...are all up to spec. Cooler thermostat, constant running fan, make sure you have quality air flow through the rad, remove the a/c condenser to improve air flow, vented hood, coated exh manifolds/downpipe, remove the turbo...

there's plenty you can do, some that makes sense and some that doesn't.

Re: Keeping Cool

mine has always been hot. i learned quick that when you pull into a show with a warm truck, you dont spray detailer on the hood . My hood gets hot enough that it burns my fingers when i open it. Coolant temps stay a steady 165, stock rad without blockage, efan, turbo blanket, cowl hood.
