Lock right in front differential

I am about to install Lock Right gears in the front differentail. I did a search on it in this forum. I noticed that jwaller had pictures of how he did his with welds and etc. I'd like to know if someone can direct me to those pictures.

I would like to do it right first time around. I found pretty helpful picture album to show how it was done and useful tips.

Can you tell me more why did you weld it completely closed? I would like to know if there is anything else I should do to the front differential?

'Cause JWaller didn't install Lock-Rite gears in his front differential. He welded it up. It is a "poor man's spool". So, there isn't any differential action at all.

If I remember correctly, he also uses a 4wd passenger side axle tube with the disconnect, for driving on the street. Is that right Waller?

yup you got it. but to answer his other question, I welded up the sides(with plate) of the diff to add strength to it bc the whole thing is so tiny, it just looked like it would need all the help it could get.
