Looking for tranny shop

Anyone around central Texas know of any tranny shops that rebuild torque converters? Its a 9/11 3500 stall and I don't wanna dish out a bunch of money for a new one, although I know the rebuild wont be cheap either.

You might want to contact TCS the maker of the 9/11 converter. They restall the converter for once for free (maybe not with a KB 9/11), but they would be my first choice.

TCS theyre in arizona. they rebuilt mine new bearings, clutches etc... it was a little over 300 i think.

cool will try them out, still looking for someone local but I don't want same all around tranny guy who thinks he can do it.

Try Phoenix Transmission in Weatherford(west of fort worth). They have done work for me for probably ten years and are first class. They did my dad's turbo t and my ty. Talk to Greg or Scott. 817-599-3161. Good guys and they do everything in house. www.phoenixtrans.com
