LS1 Fabricated valve covers, CHEAP!!

So my buddy found this guy on ebay. We ordered 2 sets and look sweet! i would give them 98% out of 100 on quality. they come with a nice screw on o-ringed oil fill (its short) and mounts for your coil packs. they don't have breather vents but drill a hole and put in a grommet. For the price, you will find nothing better, not even for double the amount.

will post up mounted pics in a lil bit, and inside shots and everything.

i'd almost get them but mine are perimeter bolt...plus they get covered up by a ton of crap

How are the coil bungs attached? Are they welded? I think I'm going to relocate my coils eventually.

Nice price. For that kind of money, I bet that they aren't made here...

$109 for a set? Holy smokes, that's cheap. It takes us around 2 hours just to weld up a set of LS1 covers without the coil brackets. Thats not counting the material costs and time to have the pieces cut, rolled, formed, machined, etc. While i'd like to think our quality is a bit nicer, ours are triple the price.

Are they actually flat when you lay them on a flat surface?

Where can i find some of these chinese workers that i can house in a shed, feed them rice and water and pay $5 / day. :)

While i'd like to say i cant blame you for buying them, i just have to wonder at what point will the US economy be able to turn around if China gets $.99 cents of every dollar we spend here.

No, they are NOT at your quality, yes they are perfectly flat. I am sure they are made in China but for 109, i could not pass it up.

The oil bung is welded, but from underneath as with the studs for the coil packs. IIRC my buddy called him and they make a non-col pack mountable set, but dont quote me ;)

As long as they don't leak, which they shouldnt.

When using Corvette accessories on the front they will not clear the alternator. FWIW

Thanks, i was wondering if camero acc would work, i have truck set up now but want something shorter. i will keep this in mind.
