So I have been doing a bunch of research on Kinugawa lately because of the shortage of 20g parts and I found out something pretty interesting.
Kinugawa is a subsidiary of Kamak for selling their older generation turbos. Kamak was the manufacturer for all MHI turbo's back in the day.

That explains how they are able to get away with calling their turbo's OEM MHI on ebay. It means that they are most likely made using the original specs, on the same manufacturing tools in the same facility as the MHI's were.
In fact, I am wondering if the designs weren't actually developed by Kamak originally and marketed then through Mitsubishi. MHI's agreement with them has probably expired and Kamak decided to start selling the parts directly.
Has anyone really examined how similar a Kinugawa part is to an MHI? I bet they are pretty similar.
