Re: Myclone is gone

hang in there Lisa. You can tell from all these posts that you have a ton of support. Don't be afraid to ask anything of us...i can pretty much gaurantee that someone would be able to help out in any way that you could possilby need.

Making the trip there for thursday seemed necessary. I'm glad i was able to make it down. Hearing Myclone stories from your perspective was great. It was nice to heard things like "Baby come look what i did to tha compressor" and the 4runner sagas.

Rest up, and i hope your back is back to normal real soon!

Here goes that unable to sleep again thingy.I would like to thank each and everyone of you from the bottom of my heart from the truly nice things you have all said about my husband. Dave would have laughed and said ah goosh all this fuss over Redneckerson. I can say I loved him with everything I had and he knew it. My only regret is time. I used to tell Dave that a lifetime wasn't enough to show him just how much I loved him. A special thanks to Erue his wife Amy, Mike Campbell and Mike Renz for coming here. To here them pull up in their trucks at my home was nice. It is only fitting that I post here not only because of it being a place my husband spent MANY hours. But because the love of the turbo is how we meet. I posted on the Buick board as Lghtemup. We chatted and then met in Mooresville at the track where I foundly became known from Dave as Turbo girl.

Thanks again so much for all the kind words

Re: Myclone is gone

Wow, this is crazy! It may sound rediculous to some of you, but after hearing of the death of a fellow board member and reading all 15 pages about him, tears came to my eyes. The weird thing is, that i never met the guy or even talked to him on the boards, just saw his past posts.

As a new member here i was looking to purchase a sy/ty, but i still know what its like to be in this hobby. I've received the impression that Dave was an amazing auto enthusiast, just like a lot of us here. But there was something special about him, like the extra mile he went to help many of you out. Its just sad to see him go like this!

Its just overwhelming to me because within the last few months, quite a few people that i know, or in this case atleast have something in common, have passed. Starting with my grandmother, who wasnt just my grandmother, but a mother, best friend, and idol. But thats a whole different novel that i wont get you guys into.

Last but not least at all, my condolences go out to you Mrs Myclone. Just know that he's up there looking down on you, following you ever step, and you'll meet him once again.

R.I.P Dave :myclone:

Also, its great to know there are all other guys like you with support for other members. You guys here and at S10forum, i feel like i'm at home with the family, able to talk to you guys about anything. Keep it up guys!

This is terrible. Dave was a real stand-up guy and others always spoke highly of him. He will be missed by many. Lisa, our sympathy is with you during this difficult time.

WOW I'm So very sorry to hear the bad news! When I was reading it it gave me chills because I can totally relate to your situation! On December 6 of 2005 I lost a friend "Josh Reif" who was a 17 year old high school senior! He worked at a towing co. in town and on that day he was crushed by a tow truck as well! So I can fully comprehend EXACTLY what you are going through!!! Just remember he's in a better place and will always be w/ you and all of us!

GOD Bless!

Re: Myclone is gone

I am really sorry for the lose. I am also sorry for not posting sooner. I have been upset since I found out wednesday night. It was too late for me to make it to the funeral. I am glad we had people from the club there. I am extremely happy to see who they were. They were some people that myclone was very good friends with. He was one of the nicest guys I have ever meet. He let me ride with him to '01 nats after a month of chatting online. I had the upmost respect for him and his knowledge. He rode down to look at my truck two or three times for me. I had always talked about getting him to tune my truck when finished. I am sorry he will not get to see me finish it. I hope to extend my sympathy and hope that if ther is anything I can do just let me know. I am not sure if lisa knows who I am or not. I hope that she works through this day at a time. That is all she can do. You can only take on what you think you can handle. I lost my cousin a few years ago and can understand the feelings she is going through. I hope thes words help some. And if my words have helped in anyway. I will feel honored. Myclone gone but never forgotten. Willie

Re: Myclone is gone

As I sit here tonight knowing what I came home to last week. Today has been hard. God I miss him so much. This hurts beyond anything I have ever known. Something you guys don't know about Dave is he was a big teddy bear. He spoiled me rotten. I have never felt so safe or so loved, and I am not sure how I am supposed to go on without him here. I had to pick out an urn to bring in home in today. I had it engraved to read David, my husband my blessing my forever love. I can't eat, I can't sleep and my hear is torn out of my chest. I just want him back, because I can't do this.

Lisa,
there's nothing anyone can say to make you feel less of a loss.
you know he was well liked and respected.
just try and keep yourself busy, visit with friends, watch tv, go to the movies, anything.
it doesn't seem like it now, but time does heal all wounds, and day by day you'll eventually start to feel whole again.
dave would only want you to be happy and safe, so please do your best to stay that way.
we all wish you the best and remember you're in everyone's prayers and thoughts.

Re: Myclone is gone

Yes Lisa. you have to stay busy and think about good things. My wife just lost her mom not too long ago. I made sure she stayed busy. I took some time off from work to be with her. Spend time with your family. My wife is doing okay for such a short time after her mother's passing. My mother in law would never want my wife to be sad all the time. Think about the good times you guys had. You will get thru this hard time. Remember that many on this board are here to help.

Even though I never met him personally, I felt like I knew him through his posts on this site. The knowledge he shared here helped me with my truck, and made me laugh at the same time. He will be missed, my deepest sympathies go out to his family.

Re: Myclone is gone

Hi Lisa,
You hang in there! We're here to give you support in any way you need... you just need to ask and we'll respond.

One thing that has really helped when my family has lost loved ones is to make a scrap book. Go down and buy a really nice scrapbook, then just start filling it with things about David that you think are special - pictures, cut pieces out of t-shirts... anything that makes you really think about his true spirit. This is something that can be shared and talked about. Some of the guys on here probably even have pictures that you know nothing about! Ask them to send copies.

There is a lot of crying that goes along with this, but you need to remember that you need to heal too, and crying and talking about it is part of it.

Please, just don't think you're alone... you may not know it, but you've got a WHOLE bunch of concerned guys and gals here thinking about you!

Wow...I hadn't been on the site for a while and just happened to be checking in tonight and saw this bad news. Although I am not a regular on the forum, I have read many of Myclone's posts and have always recognized him as a great guy that was always ready to share his knowledge. I was stunned to read the news of his passing, and I don't even know him personally like many of you on the forum. My prayers are with Lisa and the family, and with all of those that were personal friends with David. His contributions and friendship will be missed by all, but as others have said the memories live on.

Godspeed David
