Near run in w/ srt10 ram

well I dont know of I should really post this b/c it wasnt really a kill but I just had to tell someone. I was criusing down rte 9 last night and I se a white srt10 ram w/ blue stripes fly by the other direction. So I made a u-turn caught up and started trying to get his attention. Only it it wasnt a guy, it was this beautiful brunnette, drop dead gorgeous :lol: . I finally got her attention she smiled and started gesturing something when her boyfriend leans over from the passenger seat, and start screaming and cursing at me to go away. So I start toying w/ them and eventually we slow down to almost a roll down the highway. He wouldnt let her get close to my truck they hung back like 3-4 cars behind me. What really pissed me off is that we hit 3 or 4 lights but nothing ever happened :rant: I dont understand why people buy those things and dont even get on it a little bit for fun. oh well my ranting is done. thank you

Dont worry you would have killed it anyway, I mean come on it was a chick driving and we all know how that is. Plus her man toy was afraid she'd jump in the Ty with you after you smoke the truck he just had to buy her to keep her around LOL :rotf: !!!!

I have yet to line with one of those in my TY. Im always in my wifes Talon or my moms Intrepid. I cant wait to make one look stupid. Sounds like her man has a low self esteem and was afraid shels realize what asmall penis he has.

I dont know if I would have smoked her or not. I dont have an exhaust on my truck and it feels a lot slower. But nayway she still prob would have lost b/c it was a reg cab and I think those only come w/ a 6 speed. and I have never met a girl who can drive a civic w/ a stick let alone a 500 hp truck. Next time maybe she'll race then ditch her boyfriend

Those trucks have a hard time getting traction from a dig. This was told to me by the owner of one who picks up his kids at the same school. Though we didn't race, he said "You would beat me at the line...I have no traction." (street tires)

Drop the exaust??

yeah its gone it kept falling off the hanger and I think it was melting a brake line, melted the gas tank cover, dented my cladding a little, and the clamps never hold the muffler tight so I fiugred it would just be better off of it but the truck is a dog now im waiting for rpm's exhaust but I talked to them today and they said another 2-3 weeks before the Ty's are done

Yeah, no backpressure, kills the torque. Have a custom job done with a dynomax muffler or ATR pitbull if you can get one, just dump it in front of the rear wheel. I always wanted to do that myself, I am just waiting for my exaust to go. :tup: O, when my exaust was screwed I got spanked by a low 12 second mustang, it wasn't pretty. Did you get the exaust and downpipe for an ext. wastegate?

My ex could launch her 300ZX Turbo better than I could. Im used to driving AWD vehicles and couldnt get it to launch without spinning the wheels or bogging... I really miss that car, could care less about her...

There was an srt-10 running at Gateway ( our track ) the other night.....pulling 13.5-13.7's but everyone was saying he was "babying it" . Nice rides, but they are TOO BIG imo ---

If they would hook, they would go well. If the only mods to your truck are reflected in your sig, the SRT/10 will probably get you from a roll. I ran Jimmy Mann (fairly modded and running 25 psi) with the one I have (couple elementary mods). He dominated from a dig....from a roll, it was pretty even up to 130.

I basically get spanked from a roll by a lot of thiings and thats all I would expect from the srt10 but from a dig I would hope to stand a pretty fair chance. The funny thing is I found out the boyfriend actually owns the truck and he let her drive it, and its the same guy that a friend of mine is setting up a race for sometime soon. He already agreed to it!! His truck is all stock now but I was told it wont be for long. No problem though as I have plans for a new turbo, dp, injectors etc. wish me luck!!

Wouldn't think otherwise.....and yes, you will win off the line with ease. With a SRT/10, they are finicky at best out of the hole. Either they bog down OR (as is so often the case), they light up the rubber and result in a lot of noise but NO forward momentum and watching your competitor walk off at the line doesn't enhance one's ability to back off the accelerator.

Saw some ass in one of those get turned away from a car show yesterday cause the lot was full, he got all pissed and gunned it when he left, I wasn't impressed. BTW Jay, the car show in Bear Mountain was sick, no SYTY's though, just a BMW X5 with a body kit and rims trying to look like a TY. hehe. You gotta come down one of these Wednesdays.
