Need AWD conversion advice

I have a Black Sonoma GT and I am working on accumulating a SWB 4X4 S10 frame and the AWD components to convert my So GT to AWD.

Can you guys give me tips as to what Sy/Ty specific parts I will need for the 4X4 frame to do a AWD conversion?


I plan on getting as much as possible from Bravada's and possibly a AWD transfer case from a Astro/Safari Van.

As for the stuff for sale; you are on the other side of the country and I want to be able to examine the parts. And I really need advice more than anything right now.

the t-case can be sourced from a syty, bravada or astro/safari. there are two different ones, the 1372 (with a 27 spline rear output) and the 4472 (with a 32 spline rear output). other than that there is no difference.

the propshaft can be from a syty or bravada, the bravada piece is said to have a larger/thicker tubing.

the t-case adapter can be from a syty, bravada or astro/safari. it is also still available from GM.

the t-case brace can be from a syty or bravada and possibly astro/safari (not everyone uses the brace so i don't know if astro/safaris even had one, they most likely did).

the front diff can be from a syty or bravada, you can also use a S-10 front diff and swap the passenger side axle, axle tube and pinion yoke onto it.

the transmission crossmember can be from a syty or bravada, in appearance it is very different from a standard 4x4 piece but the dimensions are the same so the syty/bravada one may not be needed (i haven't checked the clearance, it looks as though there might not be enough room to use a 4x4 one because the t-case sits lower on the driver side).
