Mine didnt work when I first got my truck, the system was dry I asked the po and he said he didnt know it was dry or what to fill it with wtf!, I took it out and hooked it strait to the battery and it started working again. I Put it back together and has ran since. looked to be original gm pump too. I think these trucks are like a gf or a pet and just need attention to run good:rotf:

IMO if you are sweating the cost of a pump, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Bail before it is too late.I promise it isn't gonna get any easier or cheaper. It's just gonna get worse and worse and worse.

Belee dat.

not sure if you guys read may last few posts, my pump was already upgraded to a shurflo pump, and its not that im looking for cheap stuff, its the amount i had already dumped into it lately.. lol im well aware of the costs and jackstand usage, but it would be nice to use a pump that has proven to work from other members if i can save me extra money for instance the shurflo again the johnson etc.. the shurflo was $70 etc.. anyways i dont need neither at this time after finding the exsposed wire all has been well! :) now i can spend $$ on fixing other things lol

Re: Need help finding a economical IC pump

ok so i did some searching after i flushed my IC system and fixed my exsposed wires on the pump, i wasnt getting that great flow. when i would open the air cooler up i would see a bunch of foam. so i searched the board found the dude who posted the first video which was exactly what i was seeing, he goes on to say he drained the lower intercooler and as soon as he let some fluid out the foam went away, and he was right it did almost within in a minute, and noticed i was getting atleast 70% more flow if not more. im getting very minimal foam its more like a splash by, so i am pretty certain my IA temps will go down considerably, just thought i share my experience with this tonight. the dudes video is first and mine below it.

thx yea the IA temps came down about 20 degrees, BUT soon after i discovered the termostat wasnt opening up. and it had a 195 termostat in it, so i put a 160 thermo in and engine temps cut down to 160's and my IA temps down to 110's just need to get no foam at all, seems i have good flow and can see movements but still some foam makes its presence,
