i need the k&n drop in filter direct replacement part number ........ also, on the waste gate solenoid, all the vaccuum line's 90 degree elbows were cracked and while replacing them i noticed that on the right hand side of the solenoid there are 2 hoses - the top one that goes to the long line straight down to the waste gate and the one below that has a clamp but there is no line attached - i guess this is why i have no boost - i checked all my manuals and diagrams and it shows every other line and where they go except for this one - my question is, does anyone have any clue where this line is supposed to go or if it even goes anywhere? if it does have a line, a detailed picture or diagram would be great ..... if you have information to help me out, please email me at raistlin103@hotmail.com - thanks

Autozone can hook you up on the K&N.
The other nipple you are talking about just has a little gauze type filter. It is not your boost prob.

Got the K&N thanks

OK I found the problem with the boost, it was the inlet pipe i had kind of made.(petboys cheap inlet plastic pipe with a K&N cone on the end. I changed that back to stock inlet with stock box and boost comes right up now, but only to 11 then crawls back down to 9 by 70mph. I know because I raced a L on the way home and watched the boost gauge.(autometer vac30-boost30). Now could this be A. Pretty dirty air filter in the box? B. The box from a cone K&N?(with cheesey inlet and cone would go to 15 and crawl back to 14 and stay there.) or C. I F'ed something else up such as the elbows on the wastegate not being clamped down just pushed on?

Thanks
Don

Make sure you Zip tie all your vac lines onto the nipples so they cannot blow off or leak easily.

Also check the WG solenoid (the one near the AC pulley) I just did the silicone hoses and mine was laying on the AC pulley cooking tonight when i got home.
Then check the lines going from the back of the intake to teh Fuel pressure regulator and the same harness going to the MAP sensor.

Thats the important stuff
