Hey all, if you live in the Colorado Springs Colorado area, my shop has an experienced master mechanic that can work on your Syclone or Typhoon. If you read this posting here and mention it when you visit our shop, I will give you 10% off your parts for any repair other than oil, lube & filter , tranny flush or radiator flush. but of course! I own a 1992 GMC Typhoon, has roughly 100000 miles on it and I've pretty much replaced just about everything on it except the interior.
Bigger turbo, chip setup with multiple selections for different fueling for street or strip, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, Walboro hi-flow fuel pump, transmission was rebuilt and has a shift kit in it with a hi-stall convertor, engine was rebuilt, suspension rebuilt, cowl hood scoop, special effects 3-color metallic paint. Just to name a few things. Don't have any current photos, but I will get some taken and post them as soon as I can.

well, it was seafoam green, but I got real tired of that color.

now it shifts between blue, green and purple.

kind neat, but almost a nightmare when it comes to trying to fix any nicks or scratches..

I think ive waved at you a few times. My TY is black, lowered and has a big TYPHOON sticker on the windshield in red. I always tell my wife when we see you that I want to race you. You have chrome or polished wheels right? And if it was teal the I want to say that I raced you in my Vette once a year or two ago.

yep, I remember you, so you did finally buy a Ty? I've seen your Ty, I used to have the red Ty sticker too, but when I replaced my windshield, didn't buy another one. Raced you? I had to backoff before I hit that car that was in my lane... LOL! That was before I tricked out the tranny and went to a larger turbo. You would be amazed on the trottle response and pure horsepower, it's incredible! I'm going to take it to the strip and see what I can do the 1/4 mile in this Spring, wanna tag along?

Do Yooooooooouu wanna tag along is the quetion :rotf: When I raced you in the Vette it wasnt for much of a distance. I think we turned left onto Austin bluffs from barnes. At the time I actually did have the TY but couldnt keep it running to save my life. Ive had to replace (inorder) starter, computer, fuel pump, tran, motor, t-case. Ive definately become the master mechanic for these things. Well, maybe not master. But Ive built everything myself including the trans. Spent the last few months really gettin it dialed in. On my Datamaster ive gone from 15.3 to 14.1 jsut by making adjustmenst on this and that. All in all its stock though. As soon as I find out whats still giving me 4* of KR Im sure I will hit 13.9ish. At PMI last Sept, I ran 15.2. Needed a base to compare to for what I do this winter.

me 2, alternator, starter, front prop shaft rebuilt, rear shaft with new u-joints, all but the transfer case and rear end. sounds like you have been very busy, got a well used(or should I say abused) Ty like I did. Mine was raced by the original owner. So, 6 months later lost the tranny, then 1.5 years later blew a piston.

drop by the shop on tuesday thru friday sometime and let's chat. I'll bring the Ty up from my garage. I have to install the rear spoiler and I have a set of kick panel speakers to install as well.

waiting for a good day and I want to finish installing my rear spoiler as well. And get it detailed to a hi-gloss.
