New pics, Dash, hood

Here are a couple new pics. Not the best quality but good enough. Once I get the rest hosted I will post more. The dash was just mocked up, not finished, still need to add the plexiglass and shift light. Along with the two 2 1/16 gauges in the heating controls and the nos gauge and controller in the radio location.

No promises! LOL

Here is what gets me though. I did the front end coil over setup... the JS kit... did it maybe 3 years ago, and redid all the ball joints.

Now my truck hasn't seen the street, just gets pushed occasionaly but not too often as I have taken over that particular lift.

Anyway the lower ball joints on each side are shot. I don't like it when I have to replace parts that have zero street miles.

I always wondered if anyone had done something like that (aftermarket gauges in stock benzel). What gauges are those?

Well I copied the idea from john Gerber who had it very similiar and white faced so I can't take credit for that. The quad gauges makes it so much cleaner and less clustered.

The ones in the dash are 2 5/8" autometer sport-comp.

How hard was the wiring? Did you have to completely rewire everything, or could you just jump some wires?

LOL take a close look at the second picture and rethink that wiring question.

But really, I don't know. I have no input or insight when it comes to wiring. I am clueless and leave that to someone else.

Here is what it looks like behind the dash when you remove it.. talk about FUGLY. Took me 3 months to get all the bugs worked out of it.

Yeah we are past that stage, got everything from behind the dash out and gutted. New painless harness is taking its place but it hasn't been too painless but its getting done. Plus having the gauges actually mounted now makes it easier.

Hey, did you put luvers on your hood ?

Nope it is just a 2" VFN fiberglass hood with a stock cowl that has had the wipe holes filled in.

I started to mount the new cowl lastnight and knicked the new paint on it so I just put it back away out of frustration.

He might be refering to the picture skwayb posted. Looks like he has louvers on either side of the cowl.

Don't know, noticed it as I was walking out. Going to check that out next time

Gotta be an install issue. Only explanation is someone dorked it up while putting it in.
