"'m running ASA 17x8 wheels (BMW offset)"

does that mean you ordered for a bmw? if so what year? i'v always liked that "tuning fork" style. didn't know bmw wheels could fit syty.

colorado is where i bought my ty from. only there for one day until i had to drive it home but loved the scenery and snow capped mountains.

don't worry, not gonna copy or anything, just curious. peace out!

Shawn,

I don't understand when you said that you have the regular version of the tail lights and that Marty has the smoked. From my research I've not seen a vendor on ebay stating that they sell a regular version. They all say smoked which is in the picture. Marty's lights look alot more darker than yours. Maybe it's the lighting. Are there 2 versions or one?

I am really digging those lights, I am definitely going to have to get some for the Blazer and maybe the Ty later on :D

Look up a 2001 BMW 325i on tirerack.com. Should show a 17x8 wheel with these specs:
Offset: 40mm
Backspacing: 6.12"
Bolt Pattern: 5-120
We can use the 5x120 bolt pattern with no problems.

Feel free to choose the same wheels, it won't bother me. Thats why we're all here to share info about these trucks. ;)

This auction shows red lights. Different seller but same product.

Smoke and Red tails are different. Just look at Marty's tails. I had asked for red tails and not the smoked and they had no problem with that.

Re: New tails for the Ty

They look really good on the ty's but they don't sit right on the sy's.
True, but they don't fit bad either. I first bolted mine up with the 2 outside screws and didn't pay any attention to the inside the gate screws. After reading this it made me wonder if I could get them to sit better and I did by lining up the inside screws first then the 2 outside screws. They still angle outwards a little from the tailgate for some reason, but no more than the stock tails did.
