Re: New Torque Converter

Yes,
I just purchased the truck 6 wks ago. Right now the truck only has 19,269 orig mi,the truck came from a car collector in Mexico City. I have been racing cars my whole life and I do not want to have any problems with the orig block. Currently the truck is running 13.45-13.60 at 98.34 - 101.12.

Any feedback would be appritiated

Re: New Torque Converter

Normally you want to use a converter that's matched to your turbo/motor combo so if your truck's stock i'd leave the converter alone and do the reliability mods first.. when you figure out what turbo you want to go with later on, then research and find the right stall speed to upgrade to just my two cents

Re: New Torque Converter

:stupid: there are other things that you should do first to get more power out of it. Also 20k on the clock. DON'T TOUCH IT

If you want to join the "mod squad", you should start here first.

Somone really should update the Sportmachines list. Some of those parts aren't available, and I wouldn't bother cutting the wire to IC relay (any 3 bat chip should have the IC overide) or the Aux IC either.
