No power to Accessory

I'm trying to run a wire from my ACC port in my fuse panel to my CD player (long story) but I'm not getting any voltage from the port (I've tested with the key in the "on" position and whatnot) I tested it with a voltmeter and it not picking up anything. From the looks of it the ACC port is fused with a big silver 30A fuse. Can I use a regular 30A wafer fuse (green) instead this silver one...but I'm also wondering if it could be something else. Maybe someone else has had this porblem. My car is somewhat of an electrical nightmare right now.

Okay, I replaced the silver 30A fuse with a regular green 30A wafer fuse and I'm still not getting any voltage from the acc port. The fuse didn't pop though. Anyone have any ideas?
I'm trying to do all this b/c the red wire to my cd player (accessory wire that turns on the player when the key is turned but w/out mandating that the engine be running) is getting no voltage. TIA

Fixed it. Apparently I'm retarded and didn't check the clearly labeled "radio" fuse. Bad day to be me :(
