How exactly is it destroyed?
When they do the high spl setups they take out all of the factory windows and usually fill most body panels with concrete. Not to mention the interior is propably 98% gutted. The motor propably has lots of strain if it's ever driven form carrying a thousand extra pounds of box, concrete, and stereo equipment. Not only that it looks pretty beat up and dirty on the outside. Hopefully it wasn't a real ty though.

Jimmy, you sure it is a real Typhoon, driveline and vin? If it is that is a damn shame.
Pretty sure.

168.2, damn. He still a complete jackass in my book. Thats not destroyed, thats desacrated. Why couldnt he have used a normal blazer and put syty cladding on it like that other dude. Sick. ::puker:: Atleast it doesn't get driven but I'm willing to bet the interior and motor were just thrown away or sold. This guy obviously has no common sense.

One of my friend's (who used to own a sy), said he saw a typhoon all plexi-glassed for bass. Latches on the door so it won'te bust open, said it was a real shame. Wonder if this is the same one, it was here in Florida. If it is the same one, then it is a real Ty, cause my buddy said he talked to the guy and he said it was a true Ty, and the vin matched. All well. With less nice looking Tys and Sys out there, it bumps up the value of ours right??

They propably didn't concrete the doors. Just cut everything out of it and filled it with something to deaden sound. Nothing small like dynamat though. Has to be alot stronger than that.

 im glad i didnt ruin my phoon with audio competion. i mainly chose to do it to my jeep instead because of the weight, but im glad i did.

btw-last i checked not many spl guys use concrete in the panels and doors, they gutem and pack sand in their which is just as bad :fist:

more value to my typhoon!!!!!!!!!

Update:

Your never gonna believe this but a bud of mine called me from his cel as he works for the same company that this knot head works for. He met the guy (says hes a nice guy but hes still and idiot IMO) at a company get togeather in WV and found out some minor details about the ty.

1. It weighs ~8klbs according to the owner.
2. Has 50 batteries in it and hes adding more  .
3. Stock drive line.
4. The cavities in the body are FULL of resin and other sound materials to keep it from rattling.
5. You cant see the VIN because of the metal retaining straps that are bolted around the plexiglass windsheild cover it (ALL the windows are like this BTW).
6. All the doors have "latches" welded around them to keep them from flexing and letting the db escape.
7. It is (well, was) a real ty.

Here's the good part IMO. The guy says almost everyone gives him crap about screwing up a Typhooon (well, DUUHHHH) and that if he knew how rare it was when he started he never would have modded it to this point. Too late now   .

The bad part is my bud wont put me in touch with the guy so I can chew his ass out as I guess it would cause "issues" for for my bud at work. Dunno, but I'll keep pestering him till he finally comes up off some contact info for stereo boy. Once he does let the ass chewing commence.

Okay - you guy can't get mad at people for what they do to there car. People freak out all the time if you take any collector car apart. You have to remember it his car and i personally think it's cool and the fact that he did it to a Typhoon only give's us more exposure.

I have alway's wondered what happened to the red/white Typhoon sponsored by Kenwood. Tsumi

That truck was pretty cool
