I bent my oil cooler lines removing the eng. How important is it to run an oil cooler in the winter? And is any one not running an oil cooler?

I'm not running a cooler.
Just how good can an oil cooler be if it is attached to a radiator that has an OEM 190 degree thermostat in it? Modern cars run higher temp thermostats than that.
Of course we have a turbo so synthetic is required.
Most of us get a better benifit with a 160 degree thermostat than an oil cooler.
