Finally have the money to fix my typhoon tranny and transfer case.....

lets here everyones suggestions .....its a daily driver 118000 miles still runs great.....

here is some info.......tc I believe is out not the tranny but the tranny will have to be redone now.....the transfer case had some serious chain noise before the tc went.......

just want suggestions as to who to get the fix it....let here it...

IT may not be out. Check your brake switch, thats the most common cause, and check to see if it has a good ground to tranny, and make sure its got 12v !! not less. Then you can continue from there, but i may be wasting my time if you know for a fact its out.

There are alot of sonnax updates you really should get. Get a new tc and definatly flush your cooler and lines before you stick a new tranny in there.

My #1 recommendation is Chuck at Finish Line Trans in Wood Dale, IL. http://www.finishlinetrans.com/ This guy is TOP notch and is responsible for the transmissions in that blue full size silverado 408 Turbo LS1 1000+HP 4WD truck you have seen, driver: "Parrish". He also is known for excellent customer service (i.e. making things right if a mistake is made). Next transmission I have built will be by this guy. Especially since he's so familiar with high end heavy weight 4WD/AWD street trucks.

Don't compare the 80e in Parish's truck to the 700 in yours. The 80e's I do are of the same caliber, if not better, and I've done 700s with the same goodies that Chuck uses. He uses VERY good stuff and is worth the drive to go check out.
