from experience which one is known to witstand more power and abuse???

Don't forget Crower for rods. I think that's the route I am going. Considerably lighter than Eagles. Eagles are a solid choice too though from what I have seen.

depends on which rod. Each have some good and some better rods.. the carillos are top notch though. So are the olivers. The Eagle are good but not as good or expensive.

Well to back Mike up I just talked to my engine builder and he recommends Carillos too. Crowers are too much $$ for what you get according to him. My opinion? Heck I dunno I just pay for the stuff. :smile:

I used Olivers in my rebuild. Unless you find a sell on them somewhere, be ready to pay $1000 for them. But they are really nice rods. I couldn't find any balancing marks after getting them back from the machine shop. The guy said they were all matched to start with. I have a friend that runs the carillos in a 549c.i. chevy BB and blower in his boat. He hasn't had any problems with them. I think any of them will do a good job as long as you have a quality machinist and engine builder.
