other vehicle transfer cases that fit a ty

I have a 93 ty that I'm trying to bring back from the junkyard and I need to know what other vehicles had the same transfer case. I got it missing the engine and trans but I think I found a ty engine. Is the bravada the same and for what years? Any other trucks? What are they worth from a junkyard?

I found a guy that has some bravadas but I need to know what years will work. I told him 93 94 bravada and he said he has one. Is that the correct years? He wants $225.

borg warner 4472. make sure it is the same year, the input/outputshaft might be different if not.

91-94 bravadas, and some astros. all 31 spline

^^NOT true^^

91 Bravadas and Syclones are 27 spline, and are shorter. Typhoons, 92-97 Bravada and Astro, and 97-only Jimmy and Blazer AWD are 32 spline, and longer output shaft. Other than the output shaft, extension housing, and rear seal, the other parts are identical, and interchangeable.

There is a recent thread on T-case differences, and how to check them. There are probably at least a 100 Threads on here about this.
$225 doesn't seem too bad if you don't have anything at all. but beware that viscous clutches DO go bad, and there are bearings and bushings that have service lifes as well. The chains and planetary are fairly durable, but occasionally have issues. Particularly high-mileage units from astro vans (heavy).

Service parts including bearings, seals, a chain and a V-clutch are about $550.00 from cobratransmission The case can be overhauled by a DIY'r without any special tools. Just a trip to the machind shop to use the press to do the output shaft and V-clutch.
