PI torque converter ??

I have a 93 Ty with a stock motor and trans set up.... The turbo is stock however it has the BMW and a Forge wastegate. Truck also has a TT chip, Walbro FP, AFPR, 3 bar map. The trans already has an Aux cooler as well as a Deralle deep pan.....The truck runs Great... I have the chance to pick up a new PI Vigalante 9.5" multi disk lock up converter already stalled to 2800 for cheap $500ish....My question is will this converter work well with how the truck is set up now or am I going to have to have it restalled to around 2400? Any idea how much it might cost to get it restalled? I do not have a lot of experience with matching up converters so any input is appreciated.

It will cost you about $300 plus freight to and from PI to restall it unless it is still under the 2 year timeframe for the free restall... $500 for a Multi-disc?? I would buy it regardless.. that's a $1100 converter...

Great converter, have one myself. 2800 is high for stock, but would be great on a larger turbo. You could restall it to 24-2500 for now, then restall it later if you go bigger. When I talked to and decided to get one from them, they told me they basically rebuild the entire converter when its restalled. So, for the money, you cant buy a converter like that for the restall cost.

Just curious.... Will I see any kind of performance gains by switching converters with a stock turbo?

IMO The stock converter is fine for a stock turbo. The 2800 would be great for when you do a mind build. So I would save it for that. And save yourself the money of re-stalling it twice. When you may not have to at all.
