so i changed my plugs, cap, and rotor and went to test drive and the instant the truck hit boost it seemed to shake and vibrate...almost seemed like a bad misfire, i havent goten my scan tool in the mail yet so im not able to check for codes. we found what might be a semi melted spark plug wire, i cant even creep into boost without the truck vibratingand running weird. i do plan on changing the wires in trhe next couple of days, no one has them in stock so im outta luck..

also we had the hood up to find any indication of a misfire, and loaded up the truck for a few seconds and found that the cooling fan rubs against the shroud, would that cause the knock sensore to retard timing thinking the truck is knocking or pinging?

the truck is stock and i run 91 octane all the time, any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Check for a broken motor mount, as well as melted wires. If the mount is broken, an engine tie-down can be used temporarily.

so after replacing the cap/rotor/plugs/wires the miss was still there...then we found the problem...one of my injectors wasnt working!! we pulled the spark plug and it wasnt wet and didnt even smell like gas...so i guess ill go to the dealer and get a new one.

thanks for the help everyone!

check wiring b4 u buy a new injector - its more likely bad connecotr/similiar thena dead injuector.
