Plugs/wires

Is there an easy way to do these...? The truck has 34k miles on it, but I am pretty sure they're still the ones from the factory  . Anything else I should replace while I'm at it? Thanks!

Yeah you are gonna need to do ALLL of the maintenance type stuff.
read the FAQ and do a few searches on tune ups.
I did a decent tune up page on www.sytyauthority.net under tips.

Best of luck getting it dialed in.

Got plugs and wires done.. Thought it was harder than it really was. Once I figured out I could reach them from the fender well it was a cake walkk

AutoZone sells a spark plug socket with a built-in swivel. That's probably the best tool I've bought.

It can be done from the top, but it's insanely easier through the wheelwells. Taking the wheels off gives you more room to work, but it's not too bad even with the wheels on, if you jack it up. Changing them from the top is a lot easier on an N/A S-10 without A/C, but #3 still sucks...

The truck runs a lot better now, too. It was mis-firing pretty noticably. # of the wires looked like they had been cut or sliced with something. I hope it wasn't a rodent, because who knows what else might have been chewed... . Seems to be fine, though. It's faster now, too. :evilbat:
