Re: Post a pic of your truck taken today

Got a call this morning from my friend whos place I store the Ty and GTO at. He needed me to move them since he's cleaning out his entire yard and trying to rearrange stuff and he couldnt move the Ty because I accidentally took the keys home with me last time I was down there. So I went and got everything I needed (or thought I needed) to move both cars... battery, 5 gallons of 93 octane, jumper pack, starter fluid, hand tools, compressed air tank and the keys.

I get down there, put air in all the tires, go to swap out the batter, &#@, I forgot I converted the Ty to top post battery with the relocation kit years ago, it has been so long since Ive even touched this truck. Luckily my friend had one that would work handy so I tossed that in. Tossed in 2.5 gallons of new gas, primed the fuel system a few times, shot some ether into the intercooler and cranked it over...and over...and over...and over... wouldnt fire up. Let it sit, checked the connections on the ECM and chip, primed the fuel system a little more, tried it again, crank crank crank, wont fire.

So I went onto the GTO. Tossed the battery in that, added the remaining 2.5 gallons of gas, turned the key, VROOM fired right up! I love LS engines :D Let it warm up and then drove it across the yard to its new parking spot.

Back to the Typhoon, gave it one more shot to fire up, but finally tossed in the towel. This would be one of those good "it ran when I parked it" stories. So we tried pushing it, but it was too far sunk into the ground, so we ended up tossing a strap onto the leave spring and pulled it out with my buddies forklift.

Didnt have a ton of time to play around with it, but I suspect the cap and rotor are probably corroded and/or plugs are a little fouled out. Grabbed a few pics while I was there, just to make you guys a little sad today :( .......

you really should be ashamed of yourself letting the truck sit and slowly go to hell like that!

Re: Post a pic of your truck taken today

Where were you going that fast lol

Calif, obviously, Hy 37 (Sonoma County) between Lakeville Hy and Sears Point, the entrance to Infineon. Actually way before the entrance, on the flat straight piece. Early Sunday on the way to the ET brackets. Fun but I don't do it very often. Don't want to call the wife from jail.

That time of the morning on a Sunday will find that stretch completely devoid of any traffic, it's straight and smooth. Perfect. Bucket list item: Go to the dry lakes and get a to see what it will really do.

JAY the wheels look great with the black included now :) ---

THANKS. Here & on the Camaro forum it's been 50/50 for or against the black. Personally, the vinyl covers up the scratches. Eventually I'll need 1 less scratched front rim.

Time to break out of the mold and do something different. Began adding vinyl for autoX. and will be adding more as time goes on with sponsor logos and such. Hash stripes are red/matte black. They are 2 piece, the fender section does go behind the cladding. The cladding piece goes to the edge next to the fender and then rolls under the bottom.
