Re: Post a pic of your truck taken today

I think the value of our trucks should start going back up after they are 20 years old. Give it about 5 years and the value should start creeping up. Look at the grand nationals right now and they made a ton of those. Just in 1987 they made 23,000 and they are at about 17,000-19,000 for a 70,000-90,000 mile car. I think with such a low number if our trucks made, they should be pretty valueable down the road!!

Re: Post a pic of your truck taken today

Today my buddy with 2 Typhoons and 1 Syclone changed my tranny fluid. Thanks Vin!!!!!!!! As a token of my appreciation I asked my brother if he can detail Vinnys engine bay on his 1992 Black Typhoon. It came out awesome. The picture that I took of the engine bay don't do the detail justice because it was dark out already. Maybe tomorrow I will take a picture of the engine when it is sunny out so you guys can see how clean it came out. Then we washed the truck for him and took some scratches out that were bothering him. Vin if you are reading this, we gotta do a FULL detail on that truck to make her look brand new!!!! Then we took some pics of my truck with his 2 typhoons. The funny thing is, the white one used to be my twin brothers truck back in 1996 then we sold it to someone, then Vinny got his hands on it. Anyway enjoy the pictures!!! Sorry for the bad picture quality again, they are from my phone.

Re: Post a pic of your truck taken today

Ok I went and worked on my truck today.
Its stored in a metal storage locker and it was probably 95+ in there.

I am pulling off the DPT coilovers and swapping to a RPM setup with regular old ball joints, no heims.

Yes its a dirty bitch...
my plates expire tomorrow. Gonna try to go "buy" a safety as thats all I need for a renewal.

And the last one is the phat ass upper intake that Turbotime pumped out for me.

Thanks to Steve Wasko for CNC the upper and tb blanks, friend of a friend for milling the crap out of a molested upper intake and E-rue for welding the plate on and porting the upper as well as my lower.
The TB was also bored and bearing by Matt Blum, all of it is powdercoated bright metallic silver.

My only bitch is the milling of the fonts is not as deep as oem and the pc filled them in a bit.
I am considering painting them dark green to match the truck to make them stand out.
I just have to pay someone who has a steady hand bc its not gonna be ME!

Peter,

What's the story with that side exit exhaust cladding setup on the first white/white?

Re: Post a pic of your truck taken today

Will, when my brother had the truck back in 1996 we did a custom side exhaust on his white one and back in the day I had a red one as well that we did it to. They are actually Corvette side exhaust that we cut and fit to make work for the typhoon. I think they were called Side Effects or something like that. Now he just has straight pipes going out to the sides. It sounds awesome.

My brother first sprayed the entire engine bay with P21S autowash, let it sit for a little bit, then used a brush to agitate until it got foamy. Then he sprayed the engine bay clean. Next he dried everything off and used a product called CD2. It came out so nice. I will try to take some photos tomorrow of it to give you guys a better idea of how it came out.

Re: Post a pic of your truck taken today

I gotta look at mine every day (including the broken/missing cladding). Once inside, gotta deal with the ghetto electrical system and gauges. Sometimes its good not to look at the truck :(

Re: Post a pic of your truck taken today

Smaug,
Vinny's white typhoon with the side exhaust's was my twin brothers truck back in 1996. Him and my father bought the side exhaust kit (which is a corvette side exhaust kit) and started to cut the cladding and attaching the new side exhaust. Then when everything was attached, it was brought to the body shop to clean everything up and mold parts that my father and brother couldn't do. My brother had the side exhaust functional for a couple of months but then disconnected them because he thought he was losing power. We sold the truck to a friend a couple years later then he sold it to Vinny. Vinny then kept the truck running and decided to run straight pipes out the side exhausts. I am sure Vin will back my story up 100%. We live in the same town and are friends. He is a great guy and knows alot about these trucks. I also did the same setup on my red truck that I had back in 1996 as well with the side exhausts. I sold the truck before I went off to medical school. Just purchased my truck that I have now in November of last year and absolutely love it. Hope this cleared things up.

Haven't drove it yet this year. Just sitting in the garage with it's life support line from the battery tender, keeping it fresh.
