Re: Question about front locker

there have been lots of discussioin on this in the past but most ppl dont have any neg effects of them. of course they advise not to install it on awd systems but I dont think this community is much on following rules.

I've installed 3 of them and they owners mostly enjoy having them.

Re: Question about front locker

It isn't recommended on all wheel drive trucks like the Syclone because the front axles can not be disengaged. The 4X4 front axle can be disengaged, so it is not a problem for every day driving. I'm not sure, but I think the Lock Right has been discontinued for the 7.2 IFS. I have had one of these in the rear of my 4X4 for about 8 1/2 years. I drive it about 60 miles a day with no problems.

Re: Question about front locker

Now, I dont know too much about AWD or 4WD, but I would guess that a front locker of sorts would create steering issues because there is no power bias between the left and right front wheels. It seems like there would be alot of on-power push during turning.

under normal driving you probably would never even notice it is installed.

Re: Question about front locker

Well i just checked the power trax website, and tey dont list a powertrax diif for the 7.2 IFS but they do list the Lock right locker for the 91-2000 7.2 26 spline IFS as part #1935.
