Question on amp draw from starter and inline fuses

My battery is in the front pass. side corner of the bed and is wired as follows-
Neg. side through bed floor to frame(ground straps from cab,bed floor and trans case all attach here so they all are directly touching the main batt. ground cable).
Positive side (2ga.) comes off the batt., goes into a molded quick connect coupler(neg. cable too), then to one of those fancy inline auto sound style fuse holder w/a 175 amp fuse. from there it's 2 ga. to the remote starter sol. mounted on the pass. inner fenderwell, where 8ga and fusible links tie the batt. side of the sol. to the alt. and the power conn. on the firewall. I'm gonna move the batt. sol. to the rear of the truck as saoon as the new cable ends arrive so the 2 ga to the starter will only be hot when cranking(and lengthen the alt. power wire to run to the batt), but that's only after it's running.

My question is can the cable from the battery to the sol. have an in line fuse in it? How many amps does the stock starter draw? The fuses being like $10+ each, I'd rather avoid blowing one just to see if it works. Anybody have info on this?
