yeah, i'll definately have it runnin by then. i've been doing little mods here and there while i've been working on it. i'm definately going to get a phil long chip. so far i have:

-removed the kenne bell CAI, in favor of a screen over the turbo inlet
-ZQ8 steering box
-ABS delete, going to upgrade the brakes sooner/later
-2.02/1.60 vortec head complete port & polish
-vortec intake conversion
-hks blow-off valve

hopefully more mods to come and get it to run low 12s on 15psi, ran a 12.63 on 21psi with pte60

Don't believe it folks. (Assumin' the motor's back together.) He just needs to get some practice at the tree.:tup: I'm expecting to see you more this year Brandon.

BTW a meet at Infineon would be really cool. Last year I seemed to be the only "regular" SyTy owner there. Brandon came a couple of times. And I heard of another on a night when I didn't make it. Don't know who that was. Wed. nights can get cool there so performance improves as the sun goes down. (ALWAYS bring a jacket.) Maybe we can meet for a Sat bracket this year, haven't done that yet.

EDIT: Just marked my calendar, not all Summit Bracket Drags are on Sat., my mistake. Sundays and holidays make the list.


For example, here's the 2005 schedule:

Hey guys. I'm new to the Bay area; I just bought a house in Oakland (ouch). Anyway, my Ty is being shipped out of Michigan on Friday. I was working through some bugs since my latest mod (alky) :lol:

I would love to connect with other Sy/Ty guys in the area. I would also love to find a shop. Are there any good tuners in the Bay area--that won't cost a fortune?

I am new to the sy/ty world. I would love to get together and BS. I could use all the info I can get on these trucks. It has 92k so i dont care about driving it. I have a company truck so it only get used to pick up my son from school (2 miles). I have never raced at a track before. I would like to head up to the track and run a few times in the spring and summer. I could use some help so I dont look stupid. My truck is mostly stock but I plan to have a few more mods before I run. My goal is mid 12's by the end of summer. Then a engine rebuild over next winter (need to find a good shop) and hopefully low 12's.
Racer X I had a 2000 gtp. about 300hp. Loved it. Miss it but I like the sy more.
